“So what, exactly, does a transition + transformation coach do?”
It’s a question I get a lot.
I help my clients tap into their own courage, creativity and strength during transitions and transformations. The result? Feeling more comfortable in your skin as you move through change.
My work with clients often (but not always) begins in the messy middle. You know: that part where you’re not exactly feeling like the beautiful butterfly.
Maybe you’re facing or have just had a major life transition like a move, a divorce, a new baby, a new job... Or maybe everything’s exactly the same and you wake up in the doldrums most mornings. Things look great on paper but there’s something deep down that doesn’t feel… right. You know something needs to change but you can’t put a finger on it. Or you know exactly what you need to do but need a little support making it happen.
That’s where I can help. I’m here to give you space, ask powerful questions, and gently challenge you so that you can REALLY show up to and for yourself. Because when you show up to you, showing up everywhere else you need to be just gets… easier.
My work blends everything I know: lessons learned from a life that didn’t (and doesn’t) always go as planned, a decade+ career in marketing and communications, experience as an expat moving every few years, plus International Coaching Federation-accredited training from International Coach Academy (ICA).
My trauma-informed approach is intuitive and co-creative while always staying deeply rooted in strategic thinking. My process blends both art and science. I show up fully with both my head and my heart. And I leave a little room for magic too.
Scope of Practice
My coaching practice centers around helping women navigate change, whether that be external transitions or internal transformations. I work within the boundaries of my education, training, and experience. I don’t offer advice or make recommendations outside my scope. I maintain open communication with clients to ensure their needs are being met. And, I suggest/make referrals as needed to provide the best outcome for my clients.
Learning Lineage
I have been informed by everything I’ve learned (and am still learning). This page wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t acknowledge the people whose work has shaped my own:
Dr. Brené Brown: researcher and storyteller
Fálki Heiđdóttir: intuitive healer, guide, and artist
Katie Kurtz: trauma-informed care expert and trainer
Andrea Leda: Braver Coach founder
Crystaline Randazzo: storyteller and media creatrix
I have also been inspired by artists, writers, activists, friends, family, and ancestors. Their wisdom permeates all that I do.
What is COaching?
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” In coaching, we focus on the present and the future rather than the past, asking questions like “how?” and “what?” instead of “why?”
But what does that actually look like? It depends. Coaching is client-centric so it’ll look a little bit different for every coaching partnership.
Does an ICF Credential Matter?
As an ICF-credentialed coach, you can be assured that I bring quality and excellence to my coaching practice through training (including continuing education) and a commitment to the ICF standards and ethics.
Learn more through the ICF’s Experience Coaching website or you can always set up a free, no-obligation discovery call to chat through any questions you have about coaching.
